F11 - External Links

This option allows you to establish global settings for the Navigator applications.

For more information on the F10 function at the bottom of the screen, refer to F10 - Navigator Options/Permissions.

Each of the applications has its own options and permissions. Enter an A in the Opt field to access an application's content. In the example shown below, the Accounting options and permissions are shown.

Allow access/permission to functionality by entering a Y.

The File Management option is different from the rest of the applications. It provides a method to secure the File Management options such as the Billto file and Item File based on three access levels: User, Authority Class, and Global. For more information, refer to .....

F11 - External Links

Use the F11-External Links function to add website addresses to the Links tab.

The web links added here are global and will be available to all Navigator users. To limit websites to specific users, use Authority Classes (NAV 2).

Press F11 on the initial Application Global Defaults screen.

Press F1 to create a new link.

The entire Link/URL must be used; including the protocol (http for most websites).

The links are accessible under the Navigator Links tab.
